SPIRITUALITY

Being a value-based school, our curriculum fronts the development of human values in our pupils. UJA was founded on a catholic background and believes in developing ethical and moral thinking in its pupils.

It plans to have places set aside for worship for Christians and Muslims and visits from religious leaders to back up the daily prayers conducted at school by religious caretakers. We teach our children to have a personal relationship with God through prayer and counselling.

Religion instils virtues of humility, discipline, empathy and justice among others, in the pupils which improves quality education and positively affects the ethical nature of our children and society generally. We are very aware that academic excellence is the passport to acquisition of a job, but virtue is the visa that allows you remain employed, a reason why our focus is on both.
